About The Position

The Production Supervisor directs shift production operations, including checking formulas, assigning work tasks, and monitoring procedures and schedules to ensure standards are followed. The role requires competency in on-the-job activities that may affect product safety, legality, or quality. The supervisor supports safe equipment use, product quality, effective staffing, employee training, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The position is for the 3rd shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of the AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
Completion of a formal management skills training program.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of experience in all areas of plant production work.

Responsibilities

Instruct production technicians and outsourced labor in the care and safe operation of equipment, and monitor their use of equipment.
Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials, and continuously inspect products to verify quality standards.
Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition.
Promote positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting inspections, and holding periodic safety meetings.
Plan and adjust personnel work assignments to cover all phases of production.
Operate facility metal detector(s) when assigned; operators must be fully trained and certified.
Ensure employees comply with work rules.
Assist with employee training.
Recommend disciplinary action and participate in the disciplinary action process as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including EEO, sexual harassment, safety, and Sarbanes-Oxley policies.
Perform other duties integral to the job, including fulfilling work schedules and adhering to attendance policies and applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
