About The Position

As the Southwell Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for assigning and coordinating the work in a manufacturing department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality. You will have authority for personnel actions and oversee most day-to-day operations of the group. You will maintain a log of shift operations, prepare daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports. You will inspect product to verify production specifications are met, review production schedules, material and manpower resources, and assign employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements. You will participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures. You will maintain a variety of reports, records, and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance, and train new workers in the organization's operating procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years related experience.
  • Good work record and experience.
  • Ability to lead in a production environment.
  • Tact and good judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
