About The Position

Under direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production associates in an appropriate manner regarding all aspects of production activities including prioritizing duties, delegating work assignments, and scheduling employees to optimize production and sanitation functions as necessary. This role is within Kerry's Foundational Technologies, Pharmaceutical division, focusing on biopharmaceutical needs and specialized lactose protein production. The Rothschild, WI location is committed to nutrition and sciences, extending beyond food and beverage products.

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (Equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all quality standards and procedures are maintained, including GMPs, environmental sanitation, and housekeeping.
  • Ensuring food safety and legality.
  • Participating on cross-functional teams to build a culture of operational excellence and innovation in processing, methods, productivity, GMPs, safety, and quality.
  • Overseeing the appropriate training of new and present employees in processes and methods required to achieve Kerry’s standards for quality and safety.
  • Supervising production employees, including assigning work, managing staffing, coaching, and performance management.
  • Acting as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems regarding production, quality, and work problems.
  • Partnering with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Environmental Health & Safety to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Ensuring the completion of all required production paperwork including SAP records, inventory inspection, sanitation reports, processing/CIP charts, and maintenance work orders.
  • Participating in root-cause analysis (RCA), Fishbone analysis, CAPA, and continuous-improvement activities.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on microbial control, contamination prevention, sanitation, and housekeeping, particularly in pharmaceutical excipient production.
  • Performing basic testing for compliance at the wastewater treatment plant.
