About The Position

Reporting to the Head Grower, this position leads and oversees the daily functions of production to ensure the production lines efficiently and accurately plant vegetables, perennials, and annuals, and ensure the proper placement of plants after production. Requirements

  • 3+ years leadership experience in a production or greenhouse environment.
  • Computer skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Minimum education high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Fluent typing and data entry skills.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with math and calculations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products, including Outlook, and Excel.
  • Possesses a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make positive impact decisions, prioritize and meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ownership for decisions and actions; facilitates accountability.
  • Strong personal presence with excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Does what it takes to get the job done.

Nice To Haves

  • Some Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the production line, this role will actively lead the daily functions of production by ensuring the production lines run at optimum efficiency.
  • Establish what is being planted by the local range production lines in the daily/weekly production line schedule, based on past production output.
  • Provides quality control of planting, soil, tags, water and setting on the production lines-ensuring the line is adhering to company standards.
  • Meet production productivity standards for hourly count requirements.
  • Work with line leaders to improve daily performance and provide employee feedback to Production Manager.
  • Maintain and train employees on transplanters to ensure proper and safe usage.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels of all live goods, hard goods and soil to production in a timely manner.
  • Work with Head Grower to develop planting plans for spring and fall crops.
  • In collaboration with the Range Manager, write new transplanter programs to increase efficiency.
  • Gather production record throughout day, analyze, review, and submit to Office Administrator as needed.
