About The Position

The Bilingual Spanish/English 2nd Shift Production Supervisor leads recycle operations and sets standards for culture, safety, productivity, and employee development. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on developing teams, driving accountability, and creating a positive workplace. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to communicate safety instructions, quality standards, and daily production goals to the shift.

The supervisor oversees recycling operations, including lumber recovery, remanufacturing, GMA repair, and sorting; supports daily production goals within budget; and promotes safety, efficiency, housekeeping, and continuous improvement. The role also coaches supervisors, team leaders, and production employees and supports employee growth and retention.

Requirements

• Prior supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing, recycling, or industrial operations.
• Experience leading up to 55 team members at a time.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication and people leadership skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
• Ability to coach, train, and hold teams accountable.
• Organized, dependable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Build trust, accountability, and teamwork on the production floor.
• Communicate expectations clearly and consistently, and address issues directly and professionally.
• Model IPC’s core values and maintain a professional appearance and leadership presence.
• Lead the safety culture through training, coaching, and accountability.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and production or process training.
• Perform regular safety inspections and follow up on findings.
• Model proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and work toward maintaining a zero-recordable-accident environment.
• Meet daily production goals within budget.
• Oversee recycle operations, including lumber recovery, reman, GMA repair, and sorting.
• Monitor productivity per labor hour (PPLH) and drive continuous improvement.
• Minimize overtime through planning and cross-training.
• Ensure daily housekeeping standards are met.
• Coach and develop supervisors, team leaders, and production employees.
• Build strong relationships with team members and communicate expectations for production, safety, teamwork, and attendance.
• Support employee growth and improve retention through consistent leadership.
