About The Position

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor ensures a safe and clean production operation during the shift. Maintains the production scheduled of quality product to customer/company specifications. Supervises, directs, and coordinates activities of workers within the Production Department. Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following company policies and applicable OSHA standards. May perform the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Requirements

  • Advanced skills in MS Office

  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Plastic molding experience in a leadership role preferred

  • Ensure quality goals and objectives are met on a daily basis
  • Ensure efficient location of materials
  • Monitor scrap for undue waste
  • Prepare reject tags as required and manage this process per policy
  • Monitor and improve the management of inventory
  • Is an active leader and coach to team members by focusing on an environment for them in which to be successful
  • Passionate about improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Ability to identify root cause, implement corrective action where gaps to the goals exist – strong problem solving skills
  • Responsible for supporting new and current team member activities – hiring, performance, management, transfers, promotions and disciplinary processes
  • Schedule work assignment to maximize production efficiency
  • Develop and monitor staffing plans to execute the schedule on time at the planned rate or better
