About The Position

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor ensures a safe and clean production operation during the shift. Maintains the production scheduled of quality product to customer/company specifications. Supervises, directs, and coordinates activities of workers within the Production Department. Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following company policies and applicable OSHA standards. May perform the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Requirements

Advanced skills in MS Office
Excellent organizing and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Exposure to lean manufacturing
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Plastic molding experience in a leadership role preferred

Ensure quality goals and objectives are met on a daily basis
Ensure efficient location of materials
Monitor scrap for undue waste
Prepare reject tags as required and manage this process per policy
Monitor and improve the management of inventory
Is an active leader and coach to team members by focusing on an environment for them in which to be successful
Passionate about improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Ability to identify root cause, implement corrective action where gaps to the goals exist – strong problem solving skills
Responsible for supporting new and current team member activities – hiring, performance, management, transfers, promotions and disciplinary processes
Schedule work assignment to maximize production efficiency
Develop and monitor staffing plans to execute the schedule on time at the planned rate or better
