Production Supervisor- Night Shift

About The Position

The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a shift to ensure the smooth and efficient production of plastics products. The role works from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on rotating days and requires flexibility to cover for other supervisors as needed. The supervisor is responsible for production performance, food safety, food quality, and site safety.

Requirements

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in the plastics industry.
In-depth knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and equipment, particularly Beckum-branded equipment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage employees with varied work styles and personalities while maintaining a strong presence on the plant floor.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems arising during the shift.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Proficiency with IQMS, Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint), and other relevant software applications.

Nice To Haves

Blow molding and/or injection molding experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee shift operations, including production schedules, staffing, and quality control.
Ensure employees follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Train and mentor new employees.
Monitor production processes and address issues or bottlenecks.
Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to shift employees.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive processes and products.
Take responsibility for food safety, food quality, and site safety.
