We are excited to announce the opening of a brand-new facility in Michigan and are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team to support this expansion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a production environment or related supervisory experience required.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft (MS) Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills required.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP principles.
  • Understanding of legislative requirements for compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to high professional and ethical standards.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible to shift assignments as required to meet customer & business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to line leaders and production workforce regarding performance management, employee relations, business context/profitability, and training/development.
  • Ensure production goals and objectives are met by establishing clear quality methods for staff.
  • Support the Production Manager in maintaining the operation within budget for labor and throughput; monitor and measure performance to minimize downtime, reduce costs, and improve quality and efficiencies.
  • Complete required documentation, records, and checklists, submitting them to appropriate management.
  • Communicate and address variances, quality issues, and concerns with relevant departments to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor the working environment to ensure compliance with company and statutory hygiene and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and company data, including personnel information.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and EOS reports.
  • Touch bases with new employees on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with Commodity, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping, and Quality departments to ensure efficient workflow, production requirements, and that reworked product matches specifications.
  • Fulfill other core expectations as defined by the company.
