About The Position

The Production Supervisor directly supervises, coordinates, and plans production for Melting, Casting, and Finishing operations at a foundry producing ductile iron pipe for the waterworks industry. The role drives the company mission, communicates goals and expectations, and oversees the assigned team. It identifies development needs and provides guidance and support to help employees and the organization succeed. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
High school diploma or GED.
3–5 years of leadership experience in heavy industry.

Nice To Haves

Foundry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Observe and enforce all safety, environmental, and plant policies and procedures.
Schedule, coordinate, and oversee the daily activities of production workers.
Train, develop, and mentor employees.
Motivate and encourage teamwork among direct reports to meet production objectives.
Advise and counsel production workers on improving performance and provide input on performance appraisals, training needs, and disciplinary actions.
Communicate and coordinate with other departments to achieve assigned objectives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Hold self and others accountable to commitments.
Ensure proper quality standards are maintained on products being produced.
Determine work procedures and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Keep the manager informed of problems as they arise.
