About The Position

This role offers a range of $76,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations. We are seeking a Production Supervisor to work at our Homewood facility. The Production supervisor reports to the Production Manager and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role you will be responsible for: Directing, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of product Serving as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methods, normally to a maximum of 15 employees Communicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicable Interpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experience
  • Demonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processes
  • Excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skills in order to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others
  • Possess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPM

  • SAP/S4 HANA Knowledge
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • Proficiency in Spanish, Polish, or sign language
