About The Position

The Production Supervisor will oversee production operations for a well-established and growing consumer food manufacturing company in Burlington, Massachusetts. This hands-on leadership role supervises and develops production employees while maintaining high standards for product quality, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and productivity. The company offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement. This is a full-time, permanent position with a base salary of $85,000 and up, depending on years of experience. Relocation is not available.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP, GMPs, sanitation practices, and applicable production safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance.
Ability to monitor product quality, production efficiency, food safety, and employee safety.
Strong organizational, scheduling, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and supervise production employees and achieve established production goals and quality standards.
Ability to adapt to changing production demands and operational priorities.
Currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree.
Three or more years of direct supervisory experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
Experience in fresh or frozen food manufacturing.
HACCP certification.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities and lead the production team to meet established goals and objectives.
Maintain standards for product quality, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and production performance.
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and employee development while promoting accountability and teamwork.
Manage employee scheduling, monitor performance, and ensure production targets and operational expectations are met.
Ensure adequate supplies, materials, staffing, and other resources are available to meet production schedules and maximize productivity.
Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams on production priorities and timely completion and delivery of customer orders.
Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA requirements, SOPs, SSOPs, and applicable plant policies.
Ensure proper food handling, processing, and production in accordance with food safety principles.
Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and operational performance.
Participate in federal, state, third-party, and internal plant inspections.
Promote a safe, clean, organized, and productive manufacturing environment.
