About The Position

Pregis is seeking a Production Supervisor for their Conover, NC location. This role is responsible for directing and supervising the activities of a production team and shift/department, with multiple direct reports. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience leading and managing a team in a manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor will ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while also meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. This position is also responsible for fostering a culture of integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Key responsibilities include all people leadership and management aspects, such as interviewing, selection, and performance management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years’ experience with a minimum 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory position.
• Strong Background in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated with results-driven approach.
• Ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
• Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence.
• Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions.
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment.
• Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it’s up to date and accurate.
• Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement.
• Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.
• Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.
