About The Position

Cellofoam North America Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, supervising employees, ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality standards are met, and completing daily production reports. The supervisor will oversee manufacturing processes, equipment setup and operation, and ensure products meet quality specifications. This includes monitoring machine startups, recording operational data, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. The position also involves coaching, developing, and disciplining employees, collaborating with other departments, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere. Compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and anti-trust laws is essential, along with adherence to Cellofoam's focus areas: Safety, Financial, Customer, and People. Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Good Communication skills
Ability to lead, direct and train others to perform assigned tasks
Support and optimize production output driving continuous improvement
General Knowledge of machinery and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Ability to use and articulate measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, weigh scales)
Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
1 to 3 years of prior experience in manufacturing management environment
Organizational, communication and team building skills
Computer proficiency
Ability to read and understand CAD and blueprints preferred

Associate Degree or equivalent leadership manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Supervising employees, including assigning job duties.
Ensuring KPIs and quality standards are met and recorded daily.
Supporting and ensuring product quality meets Cellofoam specifications.
Completing daily production reports and shift paperwork.
Supervising and verifying equipment setup before production runs.
Operating and shutting down manufacturing equipment safely.
Verifying order information and producing parts with correct specifications.
Supervising shift machine startups and monitoring operations.
Recording operational data.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Supervising, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees.
Performing other production duties as requested by Plant or Production Managers.
Working in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues.
Maintaining a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect.
Using appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding plant or employee concerns.
Maintaining a working knowledge and compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and Federal anti-trust laws.
