About The Position

The Production Supervisor oversees and organizes production operations across multiple production areas. The role leads team members in areas including warehouse, vault, production quality control, dispatch, and inventory to carry out production safely, efficiently, and accurately in accordance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, and production plans. The supervisor supports lean methodology and health, safety, and environment practices, and coordinates with other departments to maintain production flow.

The role sets day-to-day operational objectives, prepares work schedules, assigns production-line tasks and machine plans according to dispatch plans, and trains and supervises new team members to ensure adherence to processes and customer requirements. It also communicates operational issues, provides performance evaluation input to the supervisor, and ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders. The job involves addressing problems that may be difficult but are typically not complex, and supervising para-professional employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members across production areas, including warehouse, vault, production quality control, dispatch, and inventory, to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate production.
• Ensure work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, and production plans.
• Assist with implementing lean methodology and health, safety, and environment practices.
• Communicate with team members about operational issues.
• Provide performance evaluation inputs to the supervisor.
• Prepare work schedules and assign production-line tasks and machine planning according to dispatch plans.
• Train and supervise new team members using training materials such as SOPs, work instructions, and on-the-job training to ensure process adherence and customer requirements are met.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure production flow.
• Supervise para-professional employees and set day-to-day operational objectives for the team.
• Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
