About The Position

Under the supervision of the chief production supervisor, the student production supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the operations of the production department. They manage their work team during their shift and ensure that solutions are found to various problems in order to achieve the cooperative's objectives and standards.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or holding a DEC or BAC in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or other related fields.
Available to work 24 hours during school and up to 40 hours/week during the summer.
Must be enrolled in a school institution for the entire duration of the student employment.
Autonomous.
Good communicator.
Ability to work under pressure and good priority management.
Good knowledge of various computer tools.
Bilingual (English and French).

Responsibilities

Assist in planning weekend sanitary maintenance based on equipment availability and maintenance frequency.
Coordinate manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with production plans and product quality.
Coordinate the packaging processes for different product formats and ensure quality compliance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and sanitation programs, and oversee the respect, application, and updating of the quality master plan (ISO, HACCP, GFSI).
Assist in planning and follow up on parts purchases with their team and the storekeeper.
Develop methods and tools for effectively monitoring equipment maintenance.
Monitor organizational key performance indicators.
Develop the knowledge and skills of their personnel.
Ensure the application of the collective agreement and disciplinary follow-up.
Apply a participatory management style.
Perform all other tasks related to the position.
