About The Position

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of production, processing, material flow, outlet support, salvage, recycling, and general warehouse operations within assigned areas. Leads assigned team members, monitors workflow, enforces standard work, maintains accurate records, supports inventory control, and helps ensure donated goods move safely, efficiently, and productively through the operation. Works with all departments to increase efficiency, improve productivity, and reduce overall waste for Goodwill. Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily production and processing activities in assigned areas to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Leads and directs assigned team members in production, sorting, warehousing, outlet support, salvage, recycling, and related operational functions.
  • Ensures work activities, including forklift and equipment operation, are compliant with safety standards, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
  • Trains, coaches, and monitors employees on procedures, workflow expectations, safety practices, organization standards, and productivity requirements.
  • Assigns labor based on volume, workflow, staffing levels, and operational priorities to maintain efficient movement of goods through the facility.
  • Monitors production flow to ensure materials are sorted correctly, waste is minimized, salvage is controlled, and maximum diversion is achieved.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and orderly work areas, including production spaces, warehouse areas, dock areas, inventory locations, and outlet-related workspaces.
  • Performs and oversees inventory and warehousing tasks needed to support production and operational flow, including material movement, placement, and supply availability.
  • Completes, reviews, and submits required logs, production records, inventory documentation, equipment documentation, and other operational reports accurately and on time.
  • Reviews workflow and operating conditions to identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, strengthen organization, and improve the use of labor and space.
  • Communicates daily work assignments, expectations, schedule changes, priorities, and operational issues clearly to team members and leadership.
  • Monitors employee performance and provides day-to-day coaching, feedback, and direction.
  • Documents performance concerns and provides input to management regarding employee development, discipline, and recognition.
  • Supports startup, shift operations, and end-of-day closeout activities for assigned areas, including work readiness, staffing coverage, equipment readiness, and cleanup expectations.
  • Escalates significant safety concerns, equipment failures, staffing shortages, process breakdowns, inventory discrepancies, or workflow issues to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.
  • Operates a forklift, baler, and other equipment as needed to accomplish tasks and performs other related duties as required or assigned.
