About The Position

This position promotes a safe work environment by ensuring associates use appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety procedures. It involves maintaining work areas by ensuring floors are free of debris, equipment is operational and clean, and workplace hazards are promptly removed. The role also includes requesting materials, supplies, parts, and repair services as needed to support operational requirements. The Production Supervisor manages the daily operation of the production area by planning work schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring production objectives are met. They monitor and evaluate operations, programs, processes, and practices to ensure quality, efficiency, and effectiveness, and inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects, damage, or malfunctions. Additionally, this role assists with production sequence planning to meet production goals and provide superior customer service, and ensures the timely resolution of associate performance concerns through coaching, feedback, and corrective action when appropriate. The position requires completing and analyzing departmental reports to support operational decision-making and performance improvement, and promoting a continuous improvement and Lean culture by documenting, implementing, and sustaining process improvements. Participation in new hire onboarding and ongoing associate training and development is also a key aspect, along with providing process improvement guidance related to waste reduction, quality management, productivity, and process effectiveness. The role involves coordinating, completing, and overseeing job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives that meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability and measuring progress toward achieving results, identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. The Production Supervisor provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training them, mentoring and coaching team members, assigning duties and responsibilities, and recognizing performance and contributions. Requirements

  • 2 years’ supervisory experience in a related environment (for example, logistics / supply chain, dairy plant, food processing, manufacturing).
  • 2 years’ experience in clerical-related responsibilities (for example, filing, data entry) and computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, food science or related area.
  • Packaging experience within a related environment (for example, dairy production, food processing, and manufacturing).
