This role collaborates with the production team and is responsible for all production activities of a given department. These activities include direct supervision of departmental personnel, maintaining on-time production schedules, and enforcing all quality and safety programs daily. The Production Supervisor will manage the fabrication production area to meet production schedules, quality, safety, and cost objectives. This includes directing activities related to producing WIP component parts to supply assembly lines with parts on time to meet OTIF goals, with good quality, and maintaining excellent inventory accuracy. The role involves planning and administering the production schedule for presses within the department, adhering to SOP procedures, and upholding production and quality control standards in the Fabrication Department. The supervisor will oversee the production process to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs while maintaining a cost-effective operation. A key aspect of this role is to drive, improve, and monitor production Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), ensure appropriate production rates to reduce delivery delays, and identify any bottlenecks or delays in production, ensuring necessary resources are available to resolve them. The position also involves using production planning and scheduling to limit material shortages, collaborating with other departments, scheduling maintenance and repair of machines, and ensuring production machinery complies with professional and safety standards. The supervisor will also be responsible for recognizing and addressing safety hazards, managing safety programs, conducting new hire safety orientations, and leading safety and production meetings. Analyzing data and creating reports using Microsoft Suite proficiency is also a requirement. Other related duties may be assigned.
