About The Position

Oversees operational safety, quality, productivity, and organization of manufacturing. Ensures organization's policies are communicated, applied, and enforced. Initiates and participates in continuous improvement of all processes within manufacturing and ensures sustainability. Develops daily production schedules from Master schedules, identifies manpower requirements, and ensures attainment. Monitors performance of team members and provides guidance to improve performance through training and other means. Uses visual and lean methods wherever applicable. Assures and supports startup of new production lines, production transfers and MEKRA operations strategy. Working with the P6700 project management team to represent the Assembly line. Schedule Tracking of the SOP P6700 related milestones for the P6700 Assembly line. Tracking of the customer demand at the P6700 Assembly line in the project meetings in cooperation with the customer service team. Support the installation of supermarkets and material handling concept for the P6700 assembly line. Developing strong skills on the control panel and be able to work on error corrective action that stops the P6700 Assembly line during production. Building the know-how to train operators to manage standard error on the control panel of the P6700 Assembly line by themselves. Deep know-how and commitment to the lean production philosophy of the MEKRA organization. Install and lead a team work spirit and environment between the P6700 Assembly line team. Responsible for all daily manufacturing requirements in the P6700 Assembly line. Responsible compliance with all safety procedures & policies for entire facility. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Set and monitor visual displayed goals within manufacturing. Daily comparison checks of production parameter (schedule, attainment, quality, personnel efficiency and resources). Evaluate parameter and make adjustments in order to achieve maximum efficiency and resource utilization. Visual display production outcomes measure. Develop ideas, initiate, manage and support continuous improvements in productivity, safety, and quality. Implement, manage, improve, and sustain lean, visual 5s and other manufacturing techniques. Develop, manage, and implement resource plans, adjust weekly due to schedule requirements. Create, distribute, and monitor daily manufacturing schedules, and plan resources Work with quality department to ensure max quality in production and achievement of quality goals Work with materials to ensure accurate inventories and appropriate material flow on lines Work with Manufacturing Support teams to ensure proper ergonomics and manufacturing techniques on lines. Assist, support, and supervise all production operators in their daily tasks while helping them improve in their responsibilities to become more efficient. Support the implementation of new production lines and line transfers

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Automotive experience
A minimum of 6 years experience in a similar position
A minimum of a Six Sigma Green Belt, preferable Black Belt
Strong Leadership skills
IATF Training
Good communication skills
OSHA training
Safety training
Workers' Compensation training
