This position is responsible for leading production teams in a 24-hour manufacturing environment, driving performance, developing employees, and achieving operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, engineering or relevant field with a minimum of 5 years operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to diagnose solve process issues
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work partner with Plant Leadership team
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement continuous improvement
  • Working knowledge and understanding of SAP or ERP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Manages a staff of 110+ hourly employees and 4 salaried supervisors, setting direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and terminating.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations, product quality, and raw material management across multiple production lines.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate work activities to maximize equipment utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operational metrics and performance indicators, including labor utilization, material usage, machine downtime, and production costs.
  • Partner with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement sustainable process enhancements.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing, process, and personnel challenges while implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead and develop Production Supervisors and their teams, promoting safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, working closely with engineering, maintenance, and other teams to run production and solve problems
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and corporate leadership to support strategic goals and operational excellence.
  • Coach and mentor employees, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth
