About The Position
Under direct supervision, the Production Student Assistant will assist staff with coordination, scheduling and production of television studio and field productions. This role involves developing original programming concepts within budget and on schedule, handling internal and external communications, scheduling production staff, equipment, and facilities, providing location and field production support, managing PR for television programming and shows, performing office tasks, supporting editing projects for timely and cost-effective completion, interacting with community and university groups on local productions, and assisting with scheduling and playback for the University Television Channel and equipment check-out. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
- In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
- Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work
- Follow oral instructions
- Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
- Communicate effectively with all levels
- Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
