About The Position

The production specialist is responsible for supporting the production department by managing material inventory and production schedules. This role ensures that safety, quality, and productivity standards are met while supporting workforce development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or other related fields required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and/or other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis, and maintain databases required.
  • Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English with staff and customers.
  • Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
  • Ability to manage collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internal and external to business and across functional areas. Results have implications for the management and operations of multiple areas of the organization.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Manufacturing background preferred.
  • Certification in six sigma, safety management, or other relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate production team members to meet daily output and quality standards.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including verifying materials, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Manage production schedules to meet output, efficiency, and delivery targets.
  • Support training and development of team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, quality requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory records, including shift reports and training logs.
  • Serve as point of contact between production staff and management.
  • Foster a positive team culture by promoting accountability, professional growth and respect in the workplace.
