About The Position

Production Sizer Operators will develop an in-depth understanding of the production capabilities of all production lines, including but not limited to, capacity utilization at certain stages, shift staffing, maintenance, sales instructions, quality impacts, etc. The operator position requires development and understanding of all Apple and Cherry variety, size, grade, box weight and packages. Operators will need to understand fruit descriptions and be able to read sales desk packing instructions.

Requirements

  • Understanding grades, sizes, varieties, packages, and box weights.
  • Bachelor degree or minimum 3 yrs. experience with Compac Spectrum or Invision equipment or similar system.
  • Able to work independently and with others.
  • Identifies what needs to be done and formulates a plan of action.
  • Willing and able to work either shift with a variable hour and schedule depending on the season and commodity.
  • Willing and able to learn and train from and with others.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and enforce all safety and operational standards in place by Monson Fruit.
  • See something say something mindset.
  • Follow and enforce GMP’s and food safety rules.
  • Train new employees.
  • Help organize crews with their direct supervisor and manage the team’s workload.
  • Troubleshoot packing line break downs and develop a basic understanding of PLC/VFD logic to assist the maintenance department in identifying equipment issues.
  • Responsible for start-up, Calibration and Maintain Sizing Equipment by assisting maintenance PM Schedule for all sizing equipment.
  • Have a in-depth understanding of how production works and capable of answering grower questions if they arise.
