About The Position

To lead the safe and efficient production of quality material that meets customer requirements. Performance must reflect the appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

Requirements

  • Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
  • Required to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
  • Required to work comfortably with basic math skills.
  • Must be able to follow work procedures.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to read, speak and write in English efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Must be able to effectively use computer systems for operation and reporting.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Manager/HR immediately.
  • Must be able to comply with all uniform and PPE requirements.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel, Word

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with Manufacturing Process Instructions and Work Package Instructions.
  • Move, load, and package Raw and Finished Goods as required.
  • Ensure quality sample collection, molding, lab testing & SPC data entry to determine product conformity.
  • Complete Shift Change Report Form correctly with applicable information, finished end information, correct weights, and report all “Conforming” or “Non-Conforming” data.
  • Execute priorities and prep for changeovers with other technicians, team leads, and Management.
  • Follow all Quality, Safety & Environmental Procedures.
  • Report and assist as needed all equipment status changes to Maintenance & Management.
  • Respond to, and report all incidents that occur on shift, and coordinate all required response activities with required personnel.
  • Ensures that waste is appropriately characterized, documented, labeled, stored and disposed in compliance with all Company, state and federal regulations.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner at all times.
  • Uphold the Blue Polymers Code of Conduct standards.
  • Lead & mentor shift employees ensuring production goals are achieved, maintained, and improved.
  • Ensure shift employee compliance with all required policies and procedures, and take appropriate steps to accurately recognize success, or to take disciplinary action when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
