About The Position
Metalex LLC. is looking for a Production Scheduler for our Libertyville, IL facility. The Production Scheduler will schedule all production in accordance with customer orders and ensures adequate supply of raw materials to meet production demands.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 5 years of prior scheduling experience
- Strong background in MS Word and Excel, as well as demonstrated proficiency with manufacturing scheduling systems: MRP/ERP systems
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- ERP, SAP, Kazien experience is a plus
- Metal Fabrication experience is a plus
- APICS certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepares production schedules considering factors of capacity planning, labor, waste, and quality standards.
- Assigns start date/time and end date/time for production jobs and process operations.
- Expedites and adjusts work schedules to meet customer demands.
- Accurately tracks and reports status of orders to sales department.
- Prints production work orders.
- Directs daily production meetings.
- Collects data, creates, and maintains various reports concerning plant production and schedule attainment.
