The Production Scheduler is responsible for converting demand into an optimized, executable production plan that maximizes output, minimizes changeovers and protects the overall plant flow and customer delivery. This role operates as a single point of ownership for scheduling across the different manufacturing departments, ensuring alignment to capacity, materials and customer demand. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain
  • Ability to translate demand forecast into executable production plans
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align multiple departments to a single plan
  • Ability to lead daily discussions, drive clarity and escalate issues when needed
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple inputs without losing control of the system
  • Ability to understand and manage the cost impact of scheduling decisions
  • Experience working within ERP systems (e.g., Globetek, Oracle, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in printing, packaging or similar high-mix manufacturing environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a detailed production schedule across all press, lamination, and slitting operations, optimizing for throughput, changeover reduction and equipment constraints.
  • Partner with Operations to align schedule execution with real-time constraints
  • Monitor and manage backlog levels to ensure the operation remains balanced and operating at the constraint
  • Align material availability directly to the production schedule to eliminate disruption to execution
  • Serve as the primary interface between Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Demand Planning
  • Publish daily production schedules for all departments (morning and afternoon)
  • Own job closure process and variance reconciliation with Finance on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Directly accountable for schedule adherence, raw material availability, schedule stability, backlog management and press optimization
