About The Position
To assist in delivering accurate processing of product over multiple work centers. To provide essential information regarding accuracy of information on process records and inventory locations to leadership. Overall, to improve effectiveness of thru-put processes for all milestones (wax through dock) within the plant.
Requirements
- Previous shipping department experience required.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing process routers.
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems, preferably computerized systems.
- Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to organize workloads efficiently.
- Good attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing shipping experience preferred.
- Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack certified.
Responsibilities
- Accurately review process router information to aid shipments in a timely manner.
- Communicate daily with planning, sales and quality to ensure transparency of products through final processing milestone.
- Verify that internal requirements of QMS have been met for all workorders that complete processing.
- Approve product to be transported from the plant to distribution center.
- Track and report violations of work instructions.
- Adhere to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operate all equipment and tools.
- Identify and report safety problems.
- Perform cycle counting to ensure accuracy of physical inventory and casting values.
- Support drivers and material handlers to ensure timely part movement.
