About The Position

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the production schedule to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time, efficiently, and at the lowest possible cost. This role acts as the bridge between sales, operations, and procurement, balancing demand with production capacity, materials availability, and labor constraints. Prepare reports, participate in production and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, and make recommendations related to resource utilization, production performance, and process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 3 years’ related experience.
  • Math skills and a good understanding of manufacturing resource planning (MRP).
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Problem-solving and technical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Monday.com and Syspro a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize capacity, and support on-time delivery goals.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, and Production teams to ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available to support production requirements.
  • Analyze production demand, order backlogs, inventory levels, and capacity constraints to prioritize work and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory to support production continuity and inventory targets.
  • Maintain accurate production planning data within ERP/MRP systems, including lead times, routings, bills of materials, and scheduling information.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, throughput, and equipment utilization.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, supply chain risks, and capacity challenges, and develop contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Communicate production schedules, priority changes, delays, and recovery plans to key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities through forecasting, reporting, and production analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements that improve scheduling accuracy, production flow, and overall operational performance.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on production priorities and customer commitments.
