As a Production Scheduler, key responsibilities include performing routine clerical duties in receiving, sorting, processing, and distributing tallies, addendums, and blueprints to the appropriate department. This role involves interpreting prints to determine proper size and quantity of material to minimize drop, originating requisitions, and developing production schedules for each production department. The scheduler will determine proper quantities of cold-formed members to be run and input required information into the computer for transfer to the purlin department. Additional support is provided through routing parts to the purlin department and processing requisitions for the panel and flashing departments. The role also includes reviewing tallies to ensure correct component quantities for orders, documenting the receiving of addendums and matching them with the proper job, and performing other clerical duties as needed during teammate absences. The position works under the general supervision of the Production Control Supervisor, following established procedures and communicating with supervisors, group leaders, purchasing personnel, and other clerks. Key tasks include running jobs, making copies of released jobs for plant production areas, distributing component/QSR information for timely production, generating miscellaneous reports (e.g., MBMA, bonus, piece counts), creating part tags for individual project parts, responding to routing appropriately, placing routings in fabrication schedules, running production and deliverables meetings, attending division meetings, communicating with production control and purchasing teams about routings, creating the production and routing schedule, filling in where necessary, and assisting with coverage in similar administrative positions.
