About The Position

The Production Sanitation Utility works as part of a team to produce quality Sargento products while supporting safe, sanitary, and food-safe production operations. The role includes reading production orders, communicating accurately, assisting with production equipment setup and placement, and working alongside automated equipment. As needed, the employee uses cleaning chemicals to sanitize equipment and production areas. This position is based in a refrigerated food production facility. The work environment is usually loud and may include machinery, moving mechanical parts, robotics, and wet, humid, or damp conditions during sanitation work. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with weekend work as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED/HSED, or be minimally enrolled with anticipated completion within 12 months or less.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Willingness to complete forklift certification upon hire.
Ability to learn and carry out lockout/tagout procedures as required.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.
Ability to work in a cold environment.
Punctuality, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and willingness to take direction.
Ability to work professionally both independently and as part of a team.

Prior manufacturing experience.
