About The Position

Ensure that daily assigned Value Added work order(s) meet productivity goals, quality requirements and that customer expectations are being followed per the customer’s SOP’s and guidelines. This is to be accomplished through timely and periodic checks during the production process and documenting results of the audits conducted.

Requirements

  • Must have experience and be knowledgeable about food safety or willing to receive training in food safety.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to push, pull, remove and place product in various configurations, involving use of fingers, hands, arms, etc.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leader, etc.
  • Share all information in a professional and factual manner ensuring the best decisions are made for the company.
  • Report all issues to your manager/supervisor.
  • Maintain an appropriate appearance and dress in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.
  • Follow all rules, guideline, and practices.
  • Inform supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.

  • Ensure timely, informative and professional responses are provided on all emails and phone calls.
  • Communications and meetings with customers and co-workers (written / verbal / face to face) are to be professional and businesslike at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that daily assigned Value Added work order(s) meet productivity goals, quality requirements and that customer expectations are being followed per the customer’s SOP’s and guidelines.
  • Perform timely and periodic checks during the production process and documenting results of the audits conducted.
  • Document and record findings in a legible and timely manner.
  • Provide work direction and motivate work force to achieve daily goals.
  • Perform basic arithmetic, reading and writing skills.
  • Perform basic mechanical functions.
  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Meet established hourly production standards and escalate all production issues per SOP.
  • Review and understand the customer’s work instructions prior to working on any assigned orders.
  • Keep visual goal chart updated hourly (if applicable).
  • Understand all procedures for operating machines.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the production area lines and processes you are assigned.
  • Understand hourly production progress via goal board display or established metrics.
  • Be able to take work direction from management personnel.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions in terms of date coding product, expiration dates, quality of product being packaged, etc.
  • Document all production inspections via the established documents at appointed intervals throughout the work shift.
  • Ensure inspections are accurate and thorough in documenting findings during the inspection process.
  • Alert management immediately on all non-conformance issues.
  • Immediately report any issue relating to personnel, productivity Value Add Inspection form and submitted at end of shift.
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency in the daily processes.
  • Report all incidents/accidents or unsafe acts immediately to your supervisor/ manager.
  • Promote safety awareness with your teammates and provide safety suggestions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure all safety guards are in place on all equipment.
  • Ensure all safety policies, practices and SOPs are being followed.
  • Perform visual inspections for carton formation, date coding being applied to finished good carton, quality of product packaging, product expiration dates, production dates, product correctness going in to cartons, product is damage free, pallet build formation (TiHi), machine wrap application, pallet label application, etc.
  • Follow established protocols during the inspection process.
  • Perform initial product inspection at the beginning of every new production run ensuring overall quality of the product being produced.
  • Conduct periodic interval inspections as designated by management.
  • Ensure all completed documents are accurate in terms of recorded information.
  • Accurately complete associated paperwork (including customer required documentation), Production Report, Production Audit.
