About The Position

We're hiring a Production Quality Control Technician to support our Houston, TX manufacturing operations. This hands-on, individual contributor role is focused on performing inspections, maintaining traceability and documentation, identifying quality issues, and helping ensure high-purity stainless steel tubing, fittings, and related components meet company and customer requirements before release.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and specifications closely.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams.
  • Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a hands-on shop-floor environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMM use and/or interpretation of CMM results.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and practical shop-floor quality systems.
  • Experience with traceability controls, nonconformance documentation, and inspection records.
  • Experience working with stainless steel tubing, fittings, or other precision metal products.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and vision inspection systems.
  • Use a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and/or interpret CMM results for dimensional verification when required.
  • Verify heat numbers, job documentation, inspection records, and other traceability requirements are accurate and complete.
  • Check etching/marking accuracy, labeling, packaging, and overall workmanship prior to release or shipment.
  • Document nonconformances and support segregation, containment, and escalation of quality concerns when issues are identified.
  • Assist with corrective and preventive action activities and support root cause follow-up with production and operations as needed.
  • Support ISO 9001 compliance through accurate documentation, process adherence, and consistent execution of established quality procedures.
  • Support calibration and control of inspection equipment to help ensure measurement tools remain accurate and fit for use.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, and other related data needed to support Houston facility quality processes.
  • Identify and escalate nonconforming product and raise shipment or release concerns when product or process conditions do not meet requirements.
