About The Position

The Production Project Manager is a critical operational leader responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of permanent and temporary display production projects from project initiation through final delivery. This role ensures seamless transfer of information from the APM, maintains communication with internal teams and external vendors, and drives projects to successful completion on time, on budget, and within quality expectations. Must have flexible working hours due to international vendor timing requirements (overnights).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing, production, or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong project planning, time management, problem solving and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems (experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft D365 or similar tools preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes utilizing materials such as-metal, wood, acrylic, plastics, LED, Digital screens.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • POP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, costs, quality, and scope requirements are met for each project.
  • Translate project specifications received from APM into actionable production plans, including materials, labor, cost expectations, deadlines, and documentation.
  • Lead planning and execution from project kick-off through delivery, including scheduling, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
  • Generate and maintain detailed production documentation such as manufacturing orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), packout pictures, and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between APM, Quality Control, Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and external partners to ensure alignment on project requirements.
  • Maintain continuous and clear communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding project status, changes, exceptions, and required actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers — both domestic and international — to secure materials, schedule production, and ensure quality standards.
  • Track project budgets, monitor expenditures, and support margin analysis and invoice processing during project close-out.
  • Responsible for releasing requisitions in ERP system to the purchasing department, to ensure all of the materials are ordered in the timeframe required for the project/job.
  • Ensure accurate data entry within Smartsheets and maintain up-to-date project files and records.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations as they relate to assigned projects — from finished goods pack-outs to distribution list creation and coordination of ASNs.
  • Work with logistics partners to align project scheduling with delivery commitments and customer requirements.
