About The Position

The Production Planning Specialist will be responsible for verifying and adjusting the production plan within a four-week horizon, considering factors such as Available to Promise (ATP), sales forecasts, and safety stock. This role involves creating and updating routings in Oracle GOM software, ensuring the plan complies with factory constraints like tooling and equipment availability, and entering planned maintenance downtime. The specialist will also prepare ad-hoc production reports, analyze production performance data using MS Excel tools, and publish daily and weekly reports. Additionally, the role supports Tier 3 reporting metrics, verifies MRP system compliance, and acts as a backup for Production Control. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a planning position
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to work with large amounts of information and generate concise and accurate analysis
  • Must be available to work over-time and weekends when needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position will not offer relocation or visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization
  • Honesty and reliability during work execution
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task various critical work assignments proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment and in a professional manner

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling; MS Excel mastery required
  • Ability to work with detailed quantitative data with a high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to work under stress conditions and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Verify and adjust production plan inside a four-week horizon, considering ATP, sales forecast, safety stock, other variables
  • Create and update routings within Oracle GOM software
  • Verifying plan is compliant with factory constraints (tooling, TBM/press compatibility, equipment availability, etc)
  • Enter planned maintenance downtime into scheduling software
  • Prepare ad-hoc production reports as requested
  • Use MS Excel-based toolset to collect and analyze production performance data
  • Publish and post daily and weekly production-related reports (Daily Output Report, Inventory, etc)
  • Assist with gathering data for Tier 3 reporting metric
  • Verify MRP system compliance and raise issues as needed
  • Act as back up for Production Control when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
