About The Position

The Production Planning Analyst supports manufacturing operations by scheduling trucks for on-time customer delivery, releasing and closing production orders, and supporting CLARK operations. This role actively participates in planning decisions affecting the master production schedule to align with company goals for the Lexington factory. The Production Planning Analyst reports to the Operation Planning Manager and collaborates with a cross-functional team including Manufacturing, Engineering, Order Entry, Quality, and Purchasing.

Requirements

  • High school education plus 2-4 years’ experience in supporting manufacturing, production, and operations in a MRP factory environment.
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning and Shop Floor Control.
  • Ability to provide detailed recovery production plans and recommendations.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of confidence and energy level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and suppliers.
  • Computer literate with application programs, material control systems and basic presentation skills.
  • Efficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to problem solve, take supervision and direction from Managers at all levels.
  • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtaining professional APICS certification is a plus.
  • BAAN experience is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Track and support material requirements for production, welding, paint, and modification areas.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and reports to reflect material activity.
  • Schedule production sequences considering model mix, options, delivery dates, and material availability.
  • Sequence and release trucks to weld/paint/production using the CLARK Manufacturing Information System.
  • Release production orders using the Baan MRP system and issue job packets to manufacturing.
  • Report production orders complete in Baan MRP as trucks are finished and resolve inventory/Bill of Materials discrepancies with the materials department.
  • Review sales orders for Engineering Special Quotes and notate in CLARK MIS and job packets.
  • Interface with materials, engineering, order entry, and quality departments to identify and address issues affecting the production plan.
  • Collaborate with the Materials Department to resolve part shortages on scheduled trucks by adjusting or transferring components.
  • Understand material shortages and delivery dates to communicate changes to the production floor.
  • Prioritize and handle various tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Participate as a team member in work, meetings, and other functions, including transferring information and improving working relationships.
  • Support company policies and demonstrate concern for business success.
  • Communicate daily on production/MOD truck completions, current status against the production plan, and lead daily production close meetings.
