About The Position

JELD-WEN is seeking a Production Planning Coordinator, also referred to in the posting as a Production Scheduler. The role plans and coordinates production workflow to meet targets, make efficient use of resources, minimize downtime, and improve overall productivity. The coordinator works with operations, supply chain, sales, purchasing, inventory control, managers, and group leads to align production schedules with customer demand, inventory levels, production capacity, sales forecasts, and business objectives.

The position contributes to timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least 2 years of work experience in an office setting; manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision once trained.
• Proficient in computer use and/or an MMI ERP system.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work with various teams.
• Strong work ethic and attendance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to work overtime as required to complete daily work.

Nice To Haves

• Some college or specialized training.
• Office experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and sales to create production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Allocate resources, including material SKUs, to achieve production goals while minimizing waste and downtime.
• Work with purchasing and inventory control to maintain adequate stock levels and help reduce excess inventory.
• Coordinate with managers and group leads to support smooth workflow, resolve production-related issues, and maintain on-time delivery.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce lead times, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate across departments to align production schedules with sales forecasts, inventory plans, and business objectives.
