About The Position
DePuy Synthes is recruiting a Production Planning Co-Op in Warsaw, Indiana. The Co-Op supports the planning team with basic scheduling, data maintenance, reporting, and production follow-up, providing a college student with practical manufacturing and supply chain planning experience under the guidance of experienced planners. The role is scheduled to run from January 4, 2027, to June 25, 2027, and requires availability to work 40 hours per week. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, and remain enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the Co-Op. Candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-visa sponsorship requirements and should have a minimum GPA of 3. The position follows applicable safety, quality, compliance, and company policies.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the Co-Op period.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn production planning systems and processes.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and follow documented procedures and instructions.
- Authorized to work permanently in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
- Available to work 40 hours per week during the Co-Op period.
- Should have a minimum GPA of 3.

- Basic understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, or production concepts through coursework or prior work experience.
- Relevant coursework or project experience in supply chain, operations, inventory management, or data analysis.
- Previous Co-Op, manufacturing, or office experience.
- Exposure to SAP, ERP systems, or data visualization tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and updating weekly production schedules based on established priorities.
- Create and update work orders in the planning system under the direction of a production planner.
- Review basic material and inventory information and communicate potential shortages to the planning team.
- Maintain planning data, spreadsheets, reports, and scheduling trackers.
- Communicate production priorities and schedule updates to manufacturing partners.
- Follow up on open work orders and help document schedule status.
- Develop or support routine production planning metrics, including schedule attainment, inventory status, and work-in-process reporting.
- Standardize with ERP SAP data checks and work order accuracy.
- Help prepare purchase requisitions or material requests as directed.
- Participate in planning meetings, improvement projects, and assigned training activities.
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, compliance, and company policies.
