About The Position

The Production Planner administers, organizes, and controls the plant’s material control functions, ensuring orders flow through the plant in a timely manner to meet scheduled shipping dates. The position coordinates order paperwork, maintains the production schedule, supports manufacturing and warehouse operations, and responds to customer service questions about order status and shipping dates. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or related roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Customer-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent work experience is considered.

Responsibilities

• Print and coordinate customer order and manufacturing order paperwork.
• Update the production schedule daily.
• Assist in analyzing plant capacity data and order specifications to determine manufacturing schedules that support optimal performance.
• Provide lead-time direction to Sales for new customer orders.
• Review work-in-process status with Manufacturing to ensure work orders are on track and take necessary actions to resolve problems.
• Assist the warehouse in troubleshooting material issues.
• Follow up on customer service questions regarding order status and shipping date changes.
• Perform additional tasks as deemed necessary.
