About The Position

This position is responsible for all planning and scheduling activities to support the manufacturing production of all finished goods. It involves coordinating paperwork, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards established within Develey policies/guidelines and specifications. The role develops daily production schedules for finished goods in accordance with forecasted requirements and is responsible for the top-line inventory audit process to ensure production orders are issued timely and completely. This individual must execute planning and scheduling tasks accurately and efficiently, troubleshoot materials that need to be consumed, and follow through the issuing of materials to production orders.

Requirements

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and ERP system).
  • Manufacturing Experience required with focus in production/operations research and planning/scheduling preferred.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Aptitude in collecting data and technical analysis.
  • Solid accounting or math skills or proven proficiency with working with figures.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Identifies key Stakeholders (internal and external) with whom to build effective relationships to support factory initiatives.
  • 2-3 years of experience in production scheduling.
  • Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, publishes, and maintains production schedules, balancing inventory resources and capacity.
  • Coordinates corrective actions to production schedules when dictated by changes in product requirements.
  • Maintains the systems relative to packaging shop order, evaluation and closeouts to keep the system operating effectively.
  • Ensures effective and ongoing communications with production management, warehouse, and purchasing personnel on production requirements and changes.
  • Documents and tracks production performance against scheduling requirements.
  • Monitors status of product releases prior to scheduling for packaging.
  • Works closely with Purchasing, Inventory, and Packaging Managers to coordinate the introduction of the latest version effectivity dates.
  • Takes ownership of new SOPs and maintenance of existing ones that affect inventory operations.
  • Monitors activities affecting SAP to ensure proper reporting of inventory and activities.
  • Monitors and reports the existence of obsolete or unusable materials within the plant on a regular basis. Works closely with the procurement team to integrate new or changes to existing bills of material to minimize obsolescence.
  • Uses MRP and other tools to maintain finished goods to support sales requirements to a 100 percent customer service level.
  • Maintains ERP relative to production orders and closeouts to keep the system operating effectively.
  • Instructs, trains, orients, motivates, and assists employees to achieve Quality, Safety, Productivity, and Customer Service objectives.
  • Serves as D3650 Key user for scanners.
  • Interprets, applies, and enforces all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules.
  • Supports and participates in safety activities to achieve departmental and plant-wide goals and objectives.
  • Effectively interprets reports to schedule production activities and consults plant personnel to meet specialized plant needs and coordinate operational requirements.
  • Communicates the schedule and all changes to plant personnel, including material changes.
  • Coordinates schedules with the Material Planner (warehouse) and manufacturing department to ensure realistic plans based on throughput targets and asset utilization.
  • Inputs data for ERP work orders on a weekly basis (MS Dynamics D3650 Super User).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
