About The Position

They are seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler III to manage production scheduling, resource allocation, and material procurement. This role involves utilizing MRP systems, coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production demands. Responsibilities

  • Schedule production, processing, assembly, and packaging activities.
  • Schedule human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process.
  • Select and sequence available resources and required processing to individual work centers or lines.
  • Implement scheduling changes due to backlogs, design changes, machine downtime, or material/labor shortages.
  • Utilize MRP to identify paperboard needs and enter Purchase Orders for material.
  • Confirm material deliveries with suppliers prior to scheduled production.
  • Escalate paperboard needs with the Corporate Material Supply Team as needed.
  • Create sheeter work order instructions for the plant.
  • Ensure accuracy of Raw Material Inventories and work with the plant IPR to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain daily contact with suppliers for material delivery status.
  • Communicate with internal and external resources regarding paperboard transportation and delivery.
  • Partner with Production Departments and Scheduling to procure material to maximize equipment runs.
  • Identify obsolete and overage materials, maintain inventory levels for favorable Working Capital impact, and communicate to plant management and Finance.
  • Identify uses for unallocated paperboard at the plant before it becomes aged.
  • Utilize unallocated paperboard located at other Graphic Packaging plants and warehouses.
  • Coordinate with the Continuous Improvement Dept on communications and corrective actions involving material quality issues with suppliers.
  • Identify obsolete materials and coordinate removal with the Material Supply Team.
  • Coordinate/Communicate paperboard timing with internal customer service reps.
  • Participate in new and transfer business meetings.
  • Share an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation.
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to the production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions to person of authority.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
