About The Position

This role involves utilizing and operating equipment, materials, and tools in the process, inspection, bundling, and banding of tubing on both mills. The individual will be responsible for the safe operation of all equipment at the table, supporting ancillary activities, and banding/bundling of material. Compliance with all safety, quality, customer focus, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping standards is required. Other duties as assigned and expected.

Requirements

High School diploma/equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
Machine operating skills or ability to learn and comprehend the same.
Requirement to speak and read English.

Responsibilities

Utilize and operate equipment, material and tools in the process, inspection, bundling and banding of tubing on both mills.
Responsible for safe operation all equipment at table and all ancillary activities that support the table functions and banding and bundling of material.
Comply with all safety, quality, customer focus, preventative maintenance and housekeeping standards.
Read and apply tape measure, roll groove "L gages", pipe tape.
Understand and use Shop Floor system and bundle tagging.
Select correct bundle size, number of pieces, wood spacers and all other characteristics for customers and BMT specs.
Ability to check surface condition and end condition.
Set up and operation of manual tables and bundling equipment.
Competent in their part of mill set ups.
Competent in coating line set up and operation.
Ability to check and apply pipe coating and stencil.
Correct interpretation of tubing and customer specs to achieve a match and verify this match.
Complete knowledge of Company quality requirements.
Complete knowledge of Company housekeeping rules.
Ability to understand and fill out quality sheets.
Properly operate a forklift as applicable.
Ability to run over head crane.
