About The Position

The Table Captain upholds Casa Bonita's Table Service standards with precision, ensuring a consistently high-quality dining experience for guests. As a key member of the Front of House team, this role is responsible for opening the facility for service, maintaining smooth operations during peak hours, and efficiently closing at the end of the shift.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in food service or hospitality industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment, with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team to uphold service standards and operational excellence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passionate about serving others
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to provide exceptional service and maintain a positive guest experience
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must have reliable form of transportation and be able to work flexible shifts, inclusive of weekends, days, late nights, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hosting or guest service
  • ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe Alcohol certification

Responsibilities

  • Follow established steps of service to ensure a welcoming and efficient guest experience
  • Able to work independently while maintaining clear communication and collaborating effectively with team members
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt to feedback, and comply with all company policies and safety regulations
  • Welcome and engage with all guests to create a memorable experience
  • Assist in opening and closing at the end of the shift
  • Moderate guest flow in service areas to facilitate smooth operations and enhance the guest experience
  • Assist staff in resolving guest issues by offering complimentary items and processing voids as needed
  • Gather the equipment (like handhelds)
  • Using the roster and assist and get them where they need to be for the day
  • Support staff with guest recovery to maintain a positive dining experience
  • Actively assist hourly team members throughout the shift and coach them to ensure the highest level of guest experience and adherence to service standards
  • May assist the department manager with select tasks related to onboarding and training hourly team members
  • Communicate with Front of House leadership regarding any guest concerns or operational needs
  • Assist in performing the duties of a Table Attendant, Table Assistant, and Guest Services Attendant as needed
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by any manager or VP of Operations based on business needs
