1st Shift Production Operator

About The Position

The Production Operator performs necessary duties and operates equipment safely, sanitarily, and productively to produce a quality product. The role works in an assembly-line environment and includes handling raw materials, processing and packaging finished goods, moving products by forklift, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment. The normal shift is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with overtime as needed, including Saturdays. The stated pay rate is $22.05 per hour.

Requirements

Able to stand for long periods.
Able to work in an assembly-line environment.
Physically able to lift 55 pounds continuously.
Able to work overtime when needed.
Able to read and understand instructions.
Basic computer skills.
Able to maintain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

Safely operate assigned equipment.
Scan and dump raw product into processing equipment.
Fill containers and verify product weights against required specifications.
Operate labeling equipment and apply bands or seals to containers.
Package and stack finished product containers for shipping, using pallets as required.
Operate a forklift to move product safely.
Clean and sanitize equipment as necessary.
Observe and report possible equipment maintenance needs to a supervisor.
Follow company policies, safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and ISO9001 procedures.
Assist with other duties assigned by a supervisor or management.
