About The Position

Barnes Aerospace’s West Chester MRO division is seeking Production Operators. The role involves inspecting parts for defects, measuring parts to confirm they meet required tolerances, and operating equipment and hand tools to process or rework parts. Candidates should be quick learners with attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a production or shop position.
• Ability to use advanced math, including arithmetic with fractions, decimals, or percentages.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with personnel at all levels, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow complex instructions or directions.
• May need to decide on a course or sequence of action.
• Ability to schedule and organize time effectively to complete assigned work satisfactorily.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of parts for nicks, burrs, and flaws, and repair defects when possible.
• Operate jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to measure dimensions and determine whether parts meet required tolerances.
• Operate deburr guns, hand tools, and grit blasters to process first-run parts and rework parts.
• Hand-adjust parts to make corrections.
