About The Position

Balchem Corporation is hiring a Production Operator to prepare ingredients and set up equipment according to prescribed instructions for manufacturing products. The operator runs automatic and semi-automatic production machines, moves materials to the production area and finished products to storage, and performs housekeeping to keep equipment and the work area sanitary. The position requires availability to work any shift and willingness to join a union.

The role involves continuous physical activity and work both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to changing temperatures and weather, elevated noise, moving mechanical parts, and potential chemical exposure. Chemical exposure is monitored, and protective clothing is worn for specific procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations, follow oral and written instructions, and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Must be able to work any shift and be willing to join a union.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
• Ability to perform continuous physical activity, including walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 1,100 pounds using manual equipment such as hand trucks.
• Ability to distinguish colors and operate a forklift.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors amid changing temperatures and weather, noise above ambient levels, moving mechanical parts, and potential chemical exposure; wear protective clothing for specific procedures.
