About The Position

The Production Operator works in a manufacturing setting, operating production equipment and troubleshooting or adjusting it as needed to meet product and quality specifications. The role includes recording production data, applying basic maintenance skills to service equipment, and actively participating in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives. The employee must follow safety and housekeeping requirements and adapt to scheduling needs, including shiftwork, overtime, and weekend work where applicable.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing setting and follow plant safety and housekeeping rules.
• Ability to learn to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Proficiency in taking measurements to verify that products meet specifications.
• Basic maintenance skills, including familiarity with and proper use of common hand tools such as a hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, and putty knife.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills with coworkers.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and housekeeping requirements in the manufacturing setting.
• Operate production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to meet product and quality specifications.
• Record production data and other results as required.
• Use basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
• Participate in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
• Adapt to scheduling requirements, including shiftwork, overtime assignments, and weekend work where applicable.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
