About The Position

This position involves loading molds for TFE pipe liners ranging from 1” to 12”, managing molding cycles, unloading the green strength liner, marking identification, and transferring to sintering oven trees. The role requires monitoring operating parameters, performing material handling, reporting production data, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Additionally, operators must monitor air quality, temperature, and dew point to ensure operation within permissible standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance; team lift required for parts over 50 lbs.
Basic blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Basic math skills including addition/subtraction of fractions and decimal values.
Ability to read measuring instruments including tape measure, thickness gage, micrometers, and calipers.
Good hand-eye coordination, grip strength, and dexterity to handle products using hand and machine tools at established production standards.

Responsibilities

Load molds for 1” to 12” TFE pipe liner.
Run molding cycles.
Unload green strength liner.
Mark identification on liners.
Transfer liners to sintering oven trees.
Manually scoop powder from barrels and transfer into mold fill chambers.
Cap molds and run cycles.
Retract green molded liner from mold cavity with a hoist.
Inspect liner (TQC) and mark with lot identification.
Record inspection results on QC report.
Maintain operating parameters on the control panel.
Perform material handling functions using hand trucks and carts.
Report production and labor on VDT and work order traveller.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Monitor air quality, temperature and dew point and only operate within permissible standards.
