This position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements. The role involves operating production lines, ensuring product adheres to Niagara’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput. This includes accurately completing quality and production reports hourly, performing physical and visual inspections of product, and reporting all quality defects. The operator must adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, as well as Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards. Maintaining general housekeeping in production and assigned areas, ensuring an appropriate level of raw materials to minimize downtime, and demonstrating the ability to work in all assigned production areas are also key responsibilities. The role requires troubleshooting minor production line issues and performing relief duties when needed. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule is required.
