About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring accuracy of work orders, and maintaining a clean work area. This role involves pulling and verifying work orders, handling product components, operating machinery at standard rates, performing quality checks, packaging finished goods, and basic troubleshooting. The position requires availability for overtime and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Basic computer usage including mouse.
Ability to read and understand work instructions and maintenance manuals.
Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction.
Ability to visually inspect required coding, product labeling, and finished goods to identify defects and to match products with the appropriate packaging.
Ability to meet physical demands of the job including sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time on a concrete floor.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Requires 95% of time standing and using hands to pull and fill boxes.
Must be available for overtime work as needed.

Responsibilities

Pull work orders at the beginning of the shift and throughout the shift as needed, verifying work order labels and data for accuracy.
Pull cases of appropriate loose bottles, lids, and product from pallets and pour into the machine.
Inspect product lab code, label, fill level, and cross-threads.
Run production equipment at standard rates set by the company.
Perform torque tests using a meter on random sampling of completed bottles hourly and record results.
Package filled bottles into trays, print and label boxes, and print and label cases.
Stop machine at the end of the run, clean and maintain the primary production machine and work area.
Perform basic troubleshooting on the machine and resolve basic problems.
Escalate machine problems to the Maintenance Team and/or Lead as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet customer needs and maintain competitiveness.
