About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for daily production-floor operations, ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals while complying with applicable legal and food safety requirements. The role supports production lines, performs product inspections, completes quality and production reporting, maintains raw materials and housekeeping, and troubleshoots minor production issues. Regular and predictable attendance is essential. The position requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or another schedule dictated by production demand.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
No prior experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree.
Two years of experience in the field or a similar manufacturing environment.
Two years of experience in the position.
Two years of experience managing people or projects; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

Responsibilities

Perform daily activities on production lines and ensure product meets Niagara’s safety, quality, and throughput standards.
Complete applicable quality and production reports accurately each hour.
Physically and visually inspect products to prevent non-conforming goods.
Report quality defects to appropriate team members and shift leadership.
Follow company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Follow Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
Maintain housekeeping in production areas and other areas assigned by plant leadership.
Maintain appropriate raw-material levels to minimize production-line downtime.
Work in assigned production areas, troubleshoot minor production-line issues, and perform relief duties when required.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
